c)      Commitment to COPE National’s Professional Code of Ethics.

Why a COPE National membership?

Because membership in COPE National projects the knowledge that you are among those elite practitioners who meet and adhere to superior standards of practice.  This is a source of pride to all belonging to COPE National.

 And in addition

Technological changes are under way, making it necessary to stay well informed, and in charge of our domain.

Government regulations are developing, or already in place, that will make it more difficult for non-member practitioners to stay abreast of advancements if they do not maintain lines of communication with their colleagues on a regular basis.

Canada Health Infection Control Standards and Guidelines have now been implemented. Provincially, Alberta and Ontario Health Infection Control Standards and Guidelines have been implemented. The public is now more aware of the necessity for infection control practices.  Quickie training, programs or chair-side training are not acceptable to COPE National.  Electrologists’ must maintain their skills and continuing educational credits to sustain membership.

What does COPE National do to support its members?

An important COPE National goal is to provide the opportunity for peer net-working across Canada and Internationally.  No member of COPE National need work in isolation, support is on our web site or an email or phone call away.
