Gayle graduated from the Swanson's Canadian Institute of
Electrolysis in January of 1999. She opened her independent practice immediately in Duncan
and joined COPE National. January 2002 Gayle opened a second business in Chemainus B.C. She
believes that belonging to a professional organization is crucial to being well informed
about current procedures, technology and relevant changes in the field of electrolysis and
hair removal in general.
Fall 2001 Gayle volunteered to be a COPE Board of Director as the
COPE Treasurer. She believes that volunteering as a board member helps ensure that
organizations such as COPE National can continue to provide on-going education, colleague
contact and support, and a professional presence in the business and medical communities.
Gayle is currently working on a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business
and Liberal Studies. She is also a Past Director on the board of the Cowichan Valley
Neighborhood House Association, a community-based operation which encourages people to
come together and work to meet the needs of the larger community.
