The Canadian Organization of Professional electrologists invites you to explore the benefits of membership. This organization is unique in Canada. It sets standards of practice in business where regulation to protect the client and electrologist do not exist. This is called professionalism. Doctors, dentists and nurses are all examples of professions we trust and respect because they self regulate to assure wellbeing through quality care.

COPE National's motto is "Leaders in Quality".

COPE National demonstrates leadership by insuring that issues are carefully researched before decisions are made (with no conflict of interest), to protect and guide members, to guarantee the credibility of our work and the safety of our clients. We are the first to take action to do something about the embarrassing state of unhygienic practices rampant in the profession only a few short years ago.

COPE National promoted the importance of and risked loosing members by recommending infection control standards from members. Other associations opposed this initiative believing it an unnecessary business expense. We were the first again to work cooperatively with Alberta Health to establish provincial guidelines for electrologists. Canada Health invited us to sit on their committee to create and establish health standards for all Canadian Electrologists. We were there also to work with Ontario Health. This speaks volumes about the credibility of this association.

The Board of COPE National is held accountable to their members by networking and working openly with other associations in Canada and the United States. No association or person affiliated or not, is denied our help. Membership is dependent on competency. Credible training and experience is essential to membership. We sponsor exams to establish membership competency.
