IS

THE NAME OF OUR PROGRAM

You as an individual can help support cancer research by saving all used postage stamps and sending them to: Margaret Chatterson at, Box 201, Sparwood, B.C., V0B 2G0

Simply tear the used stamps off the envelopes (leaving approximately 1/4 inch border ) but all stamps are accepted, put them into a zip lock bag or equivalent with your name and address and the name "COPE National", "For Love of Life". Mail them to the above name and address. Your postage too will be added to the count.

Margaret Chatterton is an angel in processing these stamps for resale and all the money raised is then given to cancer research. The stamps come from all over the world and are sold to collectors all over the world. She acknowledges all packages sent to her and has raised thousands of dollars for the cause. Please help if you can to further Cancer Research.

Margaret lives in the South East corner of British Columbia and to date she has processed, by herself, 2,222,599 stamps. She processed 134,204 in 2004. Her dedication to continue needs your help. Packaged sorted stamps are sold through the Eastern Star Organization. Our organization alone has sent in thousands of stamps. By adding our name to your name, she will be able to know where you heard of "LOVE of LIFE" and Margaret. Our Heart felt thanks to you for your support. Our program was started in memory of electrologists, Donna Kingdon and Evelyn Swanson. Our support is to help others and their families who are affected by this killer.

Please enjoy the following verse "Stamping out Cancer".

STAMPING OUT CANCER

Postage stamps are such little things; they are as helpless as can be, They cannot walk, they cannot talk, they cannot hear or see.

Yet they are mighty in their way, they travel far and wide; They carry burdens great and small, o’er sea and countryside.

They bear good news on fairy wings, they carry word of death, They fly by day, they fly by night, they are never out of breath.

When they have done their duty well and seek at last some rest, They find they still must carry on in ways they never guessed.

No more they fly through calm and storm; nor carry heavy loads, In truth their magic wings are lost; they follow brand new roads.

They are clipped and snipped by eager hands, they are sorted and arranged; Collectors buy them by the ton, their purpose all is changed.

They did their duty while alive; in death they seek the answer, Their final efforts all are bent toward killing dreaded cancer!
